About the Disability Pride Flag:

  • Black background = rebellion and mourning for those who have suffered and died from ableist violence

  • Zigzags/lightning bolts = how we must creatively move around and past barriers;

  • Parallel stripes = solidarity within our community

  • Colors = the variety of disabilities and experiences.

Designed by Ann Magill a person with a disability, in 2019.
